If you would like to change to green cleaning products but worry that they won’t clean your home as well as the standard cleaners, stop worrying. There are a lot of green cleaning products available today that do just as well as regular cleaners.

An important thing to keep in mind is that the “clean” smell you associate with a standard cleaner is actually the smell of toxic, synthetic chemicals. Most manufactured cleaners contain ammonia and chlorine, which are two of the most hazardous ingredients you could expose yourself and your household to.

If you don't know where to start in your search for eco-friendly cleaning supplies, here are a couple of useful tips:

Start with a couple of items, such as an all-purpose cleaner and a window cleaner, and see for yourself how effective they are. You will soon enjoy a genuine "clean" smell free from toxic chemicals. Remember that by making these changes, however small they may seem, you are doing your bit to reduce the impact on the environment.
