Guard Your Family With A Home Alarm Not A Gun

Even though the right to bear arms has been written into the Constitution, that doesn't mean you need to own a gun. Yes, the United States is one of the easiest countries in the world to get a gun in, but the reality is that the Constitution was written hundreds of years ago and times have changed and guns have changed. Home security is certainly an important issue these days, and is arguably the main reason Americans purchase guns, but the threat that citizens need to address by creating militias no longer exists. Most people argue for 2nd Amendment rights, without really understanding the full meaning of or context for that Amendment, but before buying a gun, everyone should consider the other safe alternative ways they can increase their home security.

One of the easiest, cheapest, and safest ways to protect your home and family is to install a good home security system. Those systems are a better choice that attempting to protect your home with a gun for several reasons. For starters, guns do not detect when someone has entered your home unwanted. But if you install a home alarm system, the system will use special motion detectors to identify intruders and sound an alarm to warn you. Once that happens, you will be able to react and get your family to safety, and at the same time the authorities will have been notified and be on their way to help secure the safety of you, your family and your home. In many home robbery or invasion attempts, using a gun to protect yourself will not be necessary, and the authorities really should be the ones to use guns if they are needed because they have much more experience than the typical homeowner.

Often times, guns can be more dangerous to have in your home than the protection you may think they provide. Even though most gun owners do their best to safely lock up their gun and store it out of plain sight of anyone, many times guns are found by children or even thieves and are then used in ways that harm people. So if you are really looking for a way to protect your family from harm, having a gun in your home is likely much more dangerous than not having one in your home! What's more, if you actually confronted a burglar with a gun in your home, they might be dangerously armed as well and might be able to shoot you before you could hide, escape, or shoot them. The reality is, that guns are not really a safe way to protect your home, and you have to realize that the only purpose guns serve is to cause violence. If you are confident that you would be okay with violently confronting a criminal, then owning a gun might work for you, but for most people, finding a peaceful way to protect their home is important. Home security systems are the peaceful alternative to protecting your property and your family.
