Main Features and Specs Probably the best feature of HTC MTeoR is its side jog-wheel designed for quick navigation and browsing. It is ergonomically designed so it will be very comfortable in your hands. The dimension of HTC MTeoR is 112.4mm x 49mm x 14.8 mm. It weighs around 120 grams with battery included so it is certainly not a heavy device. Display resolution is 320 x 240 pixels with 64K colours. The MTeoR has a built-in internal memory of 64 MB but offers additional micro-SD slot if you want to expand its memory. Multimedia features include 1.3 megapixels camera, video recording function, MPR audio playback, and video playback. HTC MTeoR has several connectivity options that include Bluetooth, infrared, and USB. Unfortunately, it lacks WiFi connectivity so you are stuck with your 3G SIM. HTC MTeoR also fully supports email, MMS and SMS messaging and offers WAP and HTML internet browser. Its battery life is fairly standard with 4 hours talk time and 7 days standby time. It can support Java games and offers polyphonic ringtones. Usability and Functionalities The HTC MTeoR has a very friendly interface and easy to use keypad and joystick. The number keypad sits at the bottom of the front panel for easy one-hand typing. The keypad is made from special plastic and very soft to the touch. Sensitivity of the keypad is also remarkable and you can fast type without missing a single key. Above the keypad are additional user keys for navigation. Its unique side jog-wheel makes the device very user friendly especially when browsing the web or reading emails. On the right side panel, you can find a short cut key for launching the digital camera. There is also a button at its side for issuing voice commands and for recording audio. At the other side of the phone sits the covered micro-SD slot and the ever functional jog-wheel for one-finger web browsing. Multimedia Capabilities and Connectivity The 1.3 megapixel camera shoots decent photos but it surely cannot compete with other high end camera phones. The camera is ideal for taking outdoor shots because the phone lacks built-in flash. However, it offers several features such as digital zoom, black and white mode, sepia, and fully adjustable color settings. The video is very basic and not remarkable. HTC MTeoR also supports entertainment applications such as SlingPlayer Mobile. The picture quality is exceptional and you can enjoy glitch free connection. It displays the images at 30 frames per second so watching your favorite show would be worthwhile. The lack of WiFi connectivity option is a big letdown but HTC MTeoR fully supports UMTS thus the device is capable of fast data transfer of up to 2 megabytes per second. MTeoR therefore is very ideal if you need a slick and slim 3G mobile phone capable of fast access to email and the Internet. Overall, HTC MTeoR is a very chic and sleek 3G smartphone with lots of good design features and functionalities. It also supports a full range of office applications and has a stable hardware.
