Men normally experience balding especially when they reach late thirties to fifties. The term androgenic alopecia, which is also known as male pattern baldness, is very common. It is then expected that they would loose certain amount of hair at some point in their lives. While this is true for men, it is not always true for women. Even though women can sometimes be diagnosed with androgenic alopecia, they do not normally experience this as men do. Women are meant to have intact hair even if they reach the age of fifty. The hair is one of their defining characteristics. It’s where most of their beauty lies.

In reality though, there are many women who are experiencing balding and most of them do not really feel even an inch of pride over it. Some men may feel that it’s masculine to be bald but not for women. Women feel devastated even at the sight of thinning hair. This is the reason why they would spend considerable amount of money just to get their hair back.


At present, women with thinning hair should be aware that there are already several hair replacement techniques and methods that solves thinning hair. Hair replacement medication is one of the most popular but not always safe. Non-surgical hair replacement by the use of hairpieces such as wigs and toupees is another. This is the most affordable and the safest method so far. Surgical hair replacement is the most expensive yet promises permanent result. At least with hair replacement available, women can get away from the devastating experience in balding and get a new fuller hair. They just have to choose which among the methods are appropriate for their individual case.
