Halal In Brooklyn

Brooklyn has always been a place where immigrant communities congregate. In the first decade of the 21st century, immigrant communities in Brooklyn include Bengalis, Pakistanis, Sri Lankans and Turks. Many of these communities eat only true Halal products – hand-slaughtered by a Muslim. There are now over 100 stores in Brooklyn carrying such items, including Pathmark and Shoprite stores.
