Halloween Ideas: What About A 18th Century Costume?

The period of time between 1700 and 1799 was so rich in issues, both political and social, that it is, for us, an inexhaustible source of Halloween costume ideas: fashion, as we know it now, was born during that time and ladies and gentlemen wanted to be the first to wear new clothes. So, if you are looking for a good Halloween costume idea, you should have a look at the history books that talk about the European people during the 18th century. Take a look at the things worn by royalty all across Europe but especially in countries like Russia, France and England so that you can gain inspiration for a royalty costume to wear this Halloween.

Finally, the general dress during that period of time is also something that can give you ideas for Halloween costumes - very fancy tuxedos, white crops, boots, top hats for the men and very fancy dresses, bamboo cane decorated with a muslin knot, umbrellas or amazing wigs for the women. During the second part of the 18th century, people thought it was important to wear sensational clothes and whenever you want to wear that sort of Halloween costume, remember to add a strong touch of extravagance.
