Hangover? Sweat It Out!

Pampering yourself does not necessarily mean drinking yourself into oblivion every night. However, because you are naturally the fun-loving type, a good-time alcohol binge with the rest of the happy bunch is most probably unavoidable.

But while gulping booze is all about the laughter and the smiles, the hangover you’re destined to experience the next morning isn’t. All you need is a bit of – brace yourself – exercise.

In order to determine how much workout you need to clear off the alcohol, you have to get hold of the amount of calories you’ve put on first. For example, one pint of lager contains as much as 200 calories while a glass of wine could be anything between 60 and 70.

If you engage in a moderate to high fitness workout for an hour, that would make you 350 to 400 calories lighter. Meanwhile, relaxed cycling could burn you 200 to 400 calories. That means if you drank six pints last night, you have a lot of workout to do. Meanwhile, walking is another good idea because the oxygen in fresh air will help.

On the other hand, if you had a major drinking session, intense exercising is not advisable because of the stress it’ll cause your heart. Stay away from cardiovascular training for the time being and just focus on stretching for the meantime instead. Such drills will increase blood circulation and will help you recover from hangover quickly.

Now there’s no reason to use hangover as an excuse to be lying in the sofa all day.
