Java, created by a company named Sun Microsystems, is a much more advanced language used by web professionals. A man by the name of Brendan Eich, while working at Netscape Communications as a computer programmer at the time, was the mastermind behind JavaScript, that started around 1996. Back then it was named Mocha, then Live Script, but since Java was so popular at the time of the launch, the name was changed again, purely for marketing reasons. This web language has become more and more popular as time goes on. It's accepted by all browsers such as, IE, Chrome, Firefox, Opera and Safari. It's the most used language of it's kind today.
