On Lanai, which has earned the nickname of 'Pineapple Isle', you need to check out the Garden of the Gods. Lanai is a smaller stop for tourists with only two resorts, but there is fine golf there and much more site seeing.
Molokai, which is the 'Friendly Isle', offers visitors to experience what an older Hawaii used to be like. Laid-back, no stop lights, friendly natives (which gives the island it's nickname) and traditional ways of living is what you'll find here.
Probably the best known island is Oahu, known as 'The Gathering Place'. This is where you will find the capital, Honolulu, and the well known Waikiki beach, Diamond Head and, of course, Pearl Harbor. To many people Oahu is synonymous with Hawaii, and this is where to go if you are a party animal. Most Hawaiian travel packages included this island on the itinerary.
The last island Hawaii has to offer you is Kauai, known as the "Garden Island" due to it's abundance of natural beauty. Kauai features magnificent waterfalls, Waimea Canyon called my Mark Twain the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific", the Napali Coast where 1,000 foot cliffs drop straight into the ocean and many of Hawaii's most famous beaches where you can surf or sit around and enjoy the warm climate and wonderful sun.
