Health Fair On September 28th,2010

On September 28th Ehrlich Bariatrics and Griffin Hospital will host the second edition of the Weight Loss Surgery Health Fair in Connecticut.  This is an event open to all weight loss surgery patients, no matter where their surgery was performed. Their Siblings and friends are also welcome. See what the agenda of the day includes:

Cooking demonstrations: See our chef cooking nutritious meals. Learn new healthy recipes.
Exercise demonstrations:Ehrlich Bariatrics and Griffin Hospital in Connecticut offer exercise programs for weight loss surgery patients. Let our exercise physiologist show you proper form and technique for physical activity after surgery.
A nutritional requirements update: You can find important information on vitamin and mineral requirements plus tips and tricks to get proper nutrition every day, as nutritional requirements may have changed since you had your operation, if it was more than one year ago.
An educational session on revisional surgeries:You gained back your weight after weight loss surgery?Have you considered having another operation?  The information received here will make you choose smart.
Industry vendors: Several industry representatives will be present to educate patients in their journey toward success.  Meet vendors from Bariatric Advantage, Allergan, WLS Lifestyles Magazine, and more.
The prizes and surprizes: Registered attendees will be entered to win one of several prizes related to the health and well being of weight loss surgery patients.  Some of the exciting prizes include a Wii Fit System, gym memberships, and gift certificates for yoga classes, personal training and Botox!

The same Fair will hold the official launch of the Griffin Hospital “Back on Track” program, which is designed for gastric bypass, gastric band or gastric sleeve patients who are 6 months or more post op.
