Letting them witness a simple memorial rite will make them understand that they cannot own a pet forever.

If you really want to buy another pet for you kids after a pet loss, make sure that they are fully recovered from the trauma and they are ready, but there are also some guidelines in buying a pet.

The pet that you will buy must not give resemblance to that deceased pet because that pet will just bring back old memories and may lead to mistreating the new pet.
