Here’s The Key To Selling Advertising Space Online.

You might have read my articles on list building and data collection; if not go through my archive of articles and check them out. What I’m going to show you is a quick way to monetize the result and triple the list without missing a beat. .

In order to do this you will have to make sure that you have at least 5000 pre-qualified names on your list. You’ll now be ready to monetize the list. If you’ve been sending out the regular emails, newsletters and free stuff, you’ll have a dedicated following by the time you reach 5,000 minimum.

So, the first thing to do is put the word out in a special email that you’ll be creating an upgraded format to your e-newsletter or ezine. Promote the new format with a link to your ad subscription page. Charge $10.00 per ad spot and limit your ad spots to avoid cluttering your layout. Perhaps insert 10-12 ads if you run a multi-part ezine.

You can also ad your own links as well. Keep the look simple and homogeneous. A good sample layout for the newsletter is Google news, just keep the ads from standing out.

Sell advertising spaces! You definitely have a good thing going if you are able to put out an ezine a day. The great thing about selling ads in your ezines is the ability to spin off the ezine concept into other niche markets.

So how are you going to double your list? If your mailing list size exceeds 1,000 (5,000 is recommended) subscribers and beyond, It’s time to offer up a really good prize for referrals. Create a form that has four sections for first names and email addresses. You want people to enter four separate name and email addresses. They will lead to an email that goes out to each new prospect with a form letter that says something like:

Dear {ref1firstName!},
I wanted to recommend this ezine for you because I know that you’re interested in (your topic of interest). Check this out; it’s free and contains tons of information on (your topic), (some benefits) and Internet shortcuts every week.
Try it out. Did I mention it’s free? Let me know what you think.

Have fun,
{firstname!}

This would go out to each prospect that your subscriber placed on the referral form. So the actual email might look something like this:

Dear Jerry,
I wanted to recommend this ezine for you because I know that you’re interested in hair restoration Check this out; it’s free and contains tons of information on restoring hair, scalp treatments and Internet shortcuts every week.
Try it out. Did I mention it’s free? Let me know what you think.

Have fun,
Bob

Each subscriber who took the ethical bribe, would be sending you four possible members.
If one in four of your subscribers fill out the form (for example, 5,000/4 = 1,250 responses. If one in four of those prospects (1,250 *4 = 5000) that are recommended to you sign up, you’ve got yourself another 1,250 new members.
So you start out with 5,000 subscribers, ran a special offer and netted another 1,250 subscribers to increase your list to 6,250 subscribers with one email message.

You can also use this tactic to spin off one more ezines in other related niche markets.
