While many of us don't consciously worry about protecting our online identity, the truth is that absolutely everything you do on the internet can be traced back to you. Everytime you send an e-mail, visit a website, or download a file, you leave your footprint behind. For example, if you happen to download movies, songs, or unlicensed software from fan or third party sites, the big corporations can come after you and hit you with hefty fines and legal proceedings.
