History Of Butterfly Knives

I am a Knife collector and have colleted for twenty years now. I received my first Butterfly Knife when I was 13. I use to watch Kung Fu theater and really big into martial arts and anything to do with martial art weapons. When my mother gave me my first Butterfly Knife, I spent most of the day in my room practicing opening and closing it. Everyone knows what a typical Knife looks like, well a Butterfly Knife (or also known as Bailsong which is a Philippines word and also a city were they make Butterfly Knives), its has three main parts to it, two handles and the blade, also components that put it all together. Well when you see the design and the technique to use it you can truly see the uniqueness to it. For those of you who never owned or used one before it can be a little tricky but fun once you master it. I used to come out in the living room when we had company over and show off how fast I could open and close it. A Butterfly Knife is a lot more unique than any other typical Knife, and once you own one our get a chance to try one out you will see what I am talking about.

I am sure there will be some people that stumbled across this article and wonder why would a guy write about his love for Knives, well it what I am into just like some women collect dolls, and other people collect coins, I collect Knives. One thing I stress on my site is safety when using or practicing. If you have some time please take a look and you will learn some pretty cool things about Butterfly Knives and also the history of the Butterfly Knife. A Butterfly Knife can take some practice to learn to use and if you don’t do it right well let me tell you from first hand it’s not good. I was pretty lucky to have a mom that was patient and did not make me stop practicing, but the one thing she did do is tell me to only do it in the back yard were I could not put holes in the yard or my furniture. I would say to any Knife collector if you have not gotten a Butterfly Knife yet in your collection make sure you get one and also take some time to practice using it. One thing I stress on my site is safety when using or practicing.
