Home Business Opportunity-how To Pick The Right Company

As far as choosing a company to go with, you want to find out how long the company has been in business, is it a start up or has it been around for a while. Be vary careful of start ups, 90% of all start up companies do not make it past the first year. Many of those that do make it past the first year do not male it past the first 3-5 years. So you want a well established company that has a track record for success and that is going to be around for a long time to come. That is not to say that all start ups don’t make it some do and turn out to be great companies. Look at the company inside and out even check with the better business bureau, do your research.

You also want to pick a product or service you can really believe in and be passionate about. Some thing you would use whether you are in business with the company or not. A product you can get excited about and stand behind. If you do not have a strong belief about what you are working with people can tell and your chances of becoming successful will be very low.

Another aspect is does the company ship product on time and pay out their commissions on time also. I have seen some companies paying people on time and then all of a sudden the company goes out of business. So be careful. You want to also find out if that company has the capacity to keep up with potential growth. Take a look at their compensation plan. Is it more to their benefit your benefit or somewhere in the middle.

One of the most important things I have found out is that most home business opportunities are not really teaching the art of true marketing techniques and skills. They just say ok now go out and figure this out on your own, a great disservice. They send people out there like sheep among wolves and maybe you will make some money maybe you won’t. About 90-95% of the people who start their own home business fail miserably within the first few months because of this. Most companies teach you to buy leads and do tons of cold calling which nobody likes doing. I never liked cold calling myself, but some companies that is all they teach.

You want to make sure they have proper training and support to show you the way to market yourself and your opportunity the right way not the failing way.

In summary do your research and due diligence when choosing a home business opportunity. Just make sure you can stand behind the company and product and that it is a right fit for you. Make sure they have the right marketing training, it could mean the difference between success and failure.
