Home Business Or Career? Wealth, Which One Will Make It?
I used to think that getting a "Good Paying Job" was what I needed to enjoy financial freedom. Over the years of being promoted to better positions and better pay I realized that no matter how much money I made, I really only had a taste of the lifestyle that I wanted during my vacations. Freedom to relax and enjoy the company of my family with no interruptions from my work schedule.
Without fail, however, after relaxing on a beach with my family and spending my hard earned money on enjoyable activities together, there was always that knowing in the back of my mind... Back to work!
Even though we had all the money we needed to live comfortably, why did I not feel financially secure?
I quickly came to understand that freedom and financial security does not come from working a job or having a good career, no matter how well we get paid.
What I really wanted was for the money to come in while I spent time with my family and doing the things that I WANTED to do, without having to be away for most of the week JUST FOR MONEY! Is that too much to ask for? Absolutely not!
The reason we go to work is not because it's our favorite thing to do, right? It's because we know that if we don't go then we won't have any money to pay for the necessities of life.
We have bought into the lie that having a good paying job is security.
Let's look at the facts.
- In the last 3 years 2.3 million jobs have been lost in the U.S. alone. I'm sure that lots of those were great paying jobs. There were probably a lot that didn't even see it coming. That wouldn't make me feel all that secure either.
How about this statistic?
- 95% of Americans never achieve the lifestyle they desire. This is in spite of good education, good jobs and careers and many years of hard work. I'm sorry it is that way, but it is that way. What are we missing?
- 95% of us are slaves to the clock.
For example: For work, Am I awake early enough? Am I leaving for work on time? How much time do I have in traffic until I'm late for work? How much time do I have until I can leave work so I can fight the traffic on the way home? How long do I have to do everything else that I want and need to do before bed in order to get enough rest to get up and do it all over again? JUST FOR A PAYCHECK!!!
The 5% that don't do that are the ones who own 95% of the wealth.
Take it from me. I finally know what it's like to experience financial freedom and security. I work from home with the freedom to work at my own pace and be my own boss. Not to mention, the pay is not limited by my personal hours of work.
