Home Foreclosure Listings

Amongst the top home foreclosure listings are the homes in California, Arizona and Florida. RealtyTrac reported in February 2009 that over 80,774 properties in California were in foreclosure filings, which made up a 5% increase in the course of one month.

The foreclosure activities increased to 51% in 2008, which showed an increase of 179% in auction sale notices. Florida increased to 14% from January 2009. Florida posted the second highest due to the 46,391 properties received. (RealtyTrac)

Arizona made the third ranks in February 2009. The number of properties in foreclosure filings estimated to over 18,118. This was a 23% increase since January. The tenth highest states included Virginia, Georgia, Texas, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois and Nevada.

Some of the Sunbelt cities were posted at the top of the metro home foreclosure listings with one of every 60 housing units in Las Vegas receiving foreclosed filings. Las Vegas was reported as being 7xs higher than the average on a national scale. Reno made number eight with one of every 108 homes in foreclosure filing.

Cape Coral and Fort Meyers Florida’s metro areas were recorded in second rank on the foreclosures rate during February. One of every 65 homes received foreclosure filings. According to RealtyTrac, California made the top ten or at least six of their cities did.

Stockton was number three with one of 67 homes in foreclosure; Modesto made number four with one in 68 foreclosed filings. Merced made number five with one in 74, Riverside-San Bernardino made number six with one in every 80, Bakersfield made 7 with one in every 85 and Vallejo-Fairfield made 10 with one in every 111 homes in foreclosed filing.

Phoenix’s metro area made ninth rank with one of every 110 filings. As you can see there, are clearly thousands of homes being sold on the market each day? This is not counting the number of homes hidden in the shadows, or has not been reported.

The government is in process of changing the rates of foreclosed properties so now is the time to start searching for your home foreclosure listings to find the home for you.
