At home tooth whitening is a good respite to people who do not have available time to spare going to the dentist and who are also on a low budget. Home teeth whitening kits can be obtained for a minimal rate, and yet be quality products.
These kits can be aacquired in the form of strips, trays and brush applicators. Whitening strips have a gel on them and are placed on the front of the teeth to lighten them. Whitening trays are filled with a gel and kept in the mouth for a few hours a day, sometimes overnight. Brush applicators are dipped into a bleaching gel and then brushed onto the teeth. These products process through oxidizing agents, such as peroxide, that help get rid of discoloration on the enamel of teeth, and other ingredients that help break downthe substance that promotes yellowing of the teeth.
These products address discoloration in much the same fashion as whitening treatment at the dentist would, but with a smaller level of peroxide. It is an inexpensive procedure, and many of these products work effectively as hyped with regular application for a significant length of time.
