How Can I Fix My Slow Running Computers

Today's home computers are nothing short of fabulous! The way they fly through hyperspace and perform operations is absolutely amazing! Yet many times a PC, for no foreseen reason will slow down, sometimes intolerably. When this happens it is maddening to say the least as suddenly this powerful speed merchant computer starts acting like a doorstop!
I can see how it can make a computer owner angry because they paid for a fast computer, so they think it is reasonable to expect a fast computer. However, they find themselves sitting at their computer desk waiting and waiting and waiting for something to happen. Moreover, it is confusing. Most people who have this experience ask, "what did I do wrong?" Actually, they didn't do anything wrong.
So, what can we do about it? How can we get the hare back into that Pentium IV tortoise? This article will explain how a perfectly good, relatively new computer can lose all its speed and what we can do to get it back
Let's Talk About Malware
Step number one in this two step process is to make sure you are spyware free. Spyware has the ability and often the intent to slow your computer down to a crawl. Right now I hear a lot of you say, "but I already have a spyware cleaner or some such thing and my computer is free of that stuff." This is good, just keep reading.
Some of you will not have a spyware cleaner installed but you will have a virus scanner on your computer. This is okay as spyware cleaners and virus scanners basically perform the same function. The viruses the virus scanners get rid of and the spyware the spyware cleaners get rid of all fall under the category of malware or malicious software. Both virus scanners and spyware cleaners clean malware out of your computer. Usually, neither type of cleaner will miss any kind of parasite.
All this means that the first step in getting your computer's speed back is making sure you have no viruses or malicious software. How do you do this? Scan your computer with a good virus and/or spyware cleaner. Don't have one? Well in that case, you better get one quickly.
I won't kid you, if your computer is running really slow, you may not be able to download any kind of software onto it. If this is the case, you will have to bring your computer to the repair shop unless you have the means and knowhow to run a virus scan on your computer from another one.
Hurray! I Have No Virus and Spyware or Malware!
Once you are quite certain you don't have any spyware or viruses or any of that kind of stuff on your computer, the next step is to get your registry cleaned on-line. Again, if your computer is operating so poorly it will crash before you could get on-line and download anything, you may be out of luck. You may have to bring your computer to the shop.
If it is operating, even really slowly, get on-line, go to the site of a top shelf registry cleaner program and take them up on their offer to give you a free scan. Every good registry cleaner I know of offers a free scan. By getting one you will be able to see if it is the fact you need your registry cleaned that is taking all the zip out of your computer.
If it does turn out you have a corrupt registry, you will have to pay for a license so you can remove the corruption. The incense fee is a yearly charge and it is dirt cheap when compared to leaving your computer barely operable.
Unfortunately, a spyware cleaner or virus scanner just doesn't make it as our only tool needed to keep our PC's functioning these days. For many reasons, the registry takes a lot of abuse on today's computer and so we need to do frequent cleanings to keep it in good shape. One final tip is this. The best registry cleaners around also come with optimizing software which will possibly make your computer even faster than it has ever been.
