How Can You As An Orthodontist Use Facebook?
The reason the short answer is yes is simply because it is such a community right now. And it's one of the fastest growing websites. If you have a presence on Facebook, and a link from Facebook coming back to your website, that is what's considered a high value back link to your website and it can move you up in the search engine rankings. It's a good idea to do that. Well, you can't just put up a Facebook profile and then never touch it because that won't really have a high valued link to you anymore. So it has to be active. There's a lot of things that you can do be active. You can operate a fan page so that people can become fans of your page. You can post everything that's going on in your practice there and what's nice about Facebook is that they've got a lot of built in applications that allow you to link your blog, your Twitter account, your Facebook account, all of these things can be linked together so that you can just update one and it will aggregate to all the rest. So they are all being updated on a regular basis. That is the answer to whether or not you should be on Facebook. The answer is yes. And then you have to ask yourself are you willing to put in the time? If the answer is no, either have somebody else do it for you, outsource it to another company, or just decide that it's really not for you.
