How It All Got Started

The internet….. It has changed the way we live since its proliferation in the past decade or two. It had enabled us to do things that we never thought of in just more than a decade ago. It had granted us access to places that we used to need to travel far and wide all by the simple click of the mouse. It updates us with the latest news and information. It is the source of knowledge to many students who need not bog themselves in the library anymore……

I was in the kitchen the other day, preparing lunch for my little one who was in the study playing on the computer. He suddenly came running into the kitchen with a smirk on his face. He then dragged me to the room telling me that he found something really amusing. “Daddy, you look at them, this is really funny, is this a new comedy coming on TV?”…. To my greatest shock of all shocks the screen on the computer was showing a website with a pop-up ad showing a couple fornicating good ol’doggy style. Can you imagine my horror?!?! Immediately I closed the window, only to find more and more pop-ups depicting ads with adults in various forms of undress and doing things that you do in the state of undress. All with loud headlines shouting “WATCH IT LIVE NOW!”. After hitting the mouse button several times at lightning speed (thanks to my years of practice on counterstrike) I finally manage to close the web browser completely. It was then time to give my 6 year old a nice grilling just like how I interrogated criminals when I was a police officer. “how and why did you do what you did?” I asked in a “firm and stern” way, “ I was just searching for the latest LEGO TV show” the seemingly innocent suspect replied.

It was at that moment then I realize how scary search engines are. My first suspicion was that he could have just committed an innocent typo by spelling Leg instead of Lego and proceeded to type in Leg TV and hit the search button, the list of search results then appeared and the screen and on the top of the list reads “Legs Fetish TV”, satisfy your leggy desires with live streaming of our hottest leggiest models!!
