How Kids Can Make Money Doing A Variety Of Different Things
Lemonade stands are a common sight in warmer months. Youngsters set up tables and pour people cups of lemonade, or a number of other beverages that can be sold legally on the street. Cold drinks in the blistering hot sun are welcomed by many people passing by. Hot drinks that warm a body up in cold months are eagerly bought by people who may out shoveling snow or walking to work. Buying really big bags of already made popcorn and dishing it out in bags ranging from small to large, is another simple idea. Young people can either set up a stand for this, or they can sell it from inside the home. Ice cakes are a favorite of children in Hawaii. If you ever travel there, you are likely to see these kinds of stands set up across from schools. If these treats are enjoyed in Hawaii, they are sure to be enjoyed by young and older people in all kinds of cities. Ice cakes are made with the same ingredients as Popsicles. The only difference is that instead of putting the mix into trays, you put them in disposable paper cups. Just flip the cakes upside down and nibble away at the chunk of tasty goodness sticking up from the top. Mowing lawns is another way kids can make some cash in the spring and summer months. This is hard, dirty, sweaty work, but people are usually willing to spend a decent amount of money having this chore done for them. Cleaning up the messes dogs make in the yards around the neighborhood might be another venture to look into. Walking the same dogs you clean up after can be another way of making some extra cash. Setting up a car wash, or making some baked goods to sell to neighbors may be something else that can make quite a bit of cash. There is also babysitting. All you have to do, is find something that people want or need, fill that want or need and charge a fee for doing it. Be creative and open to the possibilities and your child will start making some money in no time.
