How Personal Growth And Development Will Change Your Life. And Our Country. If You Let It.

As hard as this may be to believe, we are very lucky indeed in this day and age. I know that there are many of you reading this who are unemployed and have been for a very long time. I also know that you probably think that I am a few shingles light of a full load to make such a statement. I will endeavor to explain my position and, as always, you the reader can make your own decision.

The Great Depression had devastating effects worldwide. Virtually every country, poor or wealthy, was affected. The amount of world trade plunged by 1/2 to 2/3. In some countries, unemployment rose to as high as 33%, in the United States, unemployment was at 25%. Combined with the Dust Bowl of the 1930'S, it was an incredibly difficult double blow to those affected by both. Many were forced from the plains states, literally from possible starvation, to migrate west, where unfortunately, due to the Great Depression, things were no better.

But back then, there was obviously no Internet, no opportunity available really, for anything other than working for someone else. It is quite the opposite today. There are literally hundred's of thousands, if not millions of opportunities available to us today that were inconceivable back then. But most people don't have the self esteem, personal belief and faith that they can successfully pursue these opportunities. And the reason is that they have stopped growing as people, as human beings. You must grow your belief, self esteem and faith. You must somehow begin to believe that anything is possible. And personal growth and development is the only known method for achieving this objective. It irritates me to no end the amount of people who knock network marketing or MLM, when they have never even tried being in business for themselves. There are literally millions of people right now, who have stepped out of their comfort zone, are entering the business and contributing to the economy instead of taking from it. Creating jobs, even if it's only by buying office supplies. That takes courage, while the majority of non believers do nothing other than complain and expect someone else to bail them out.

The problem is that for far too long, as Americans, we have forgotten who we are. We bought into the idea that the corporation would take care of us, that all we need is a job and life will take care of itself. The result is that we stopped growing as human beings. And that is one of the main reasons for so much pain and suffering that many are experiencing today. We are pioneers, we are courageous, we are dreamers, we are people of faith and persistence. At least we used to be.

Can we be those things again? That depends on you. Yes, you reading this article. It is your responsibility to dig deep into your heart and soul to recover the greatness that you represent. No one else bears this responsibility. We as a people, including myself, must begin anew to accept responsibility for ourselves, our families and our communities. To start to take care of our own again. As we once did.

The problem is that most of us know longer have, or even understand the American Dream. We have taken for granted what we have for too long. Too many think that all they have to do is show up, and they will be rewarded, when the truth of the matter is that it was never so. We must all again become givers, not takers. Contribute, not dilute. And the only way to achieve this is for all of us to take a long, hard look in the mirror. And to accept the fact that is our responsibility to create jobs, not just fill one. But how, you ask? I have no money, no credit, etc. Well, if you desire something strongly enough, the universe will supply that which is needed. It is called the Law Of Attraction. We need to become self sufficient once again, as we once were. But to do this, we need to believe in ourselves. But it's up to you, no one else. I, as well as many others, am doing my part. Are you? Do you have it in you?

To your success.
