How To Build An Affiliate Downline Through Marketing Advertising - Lesson Two

Lesson Two: Assembling Your Ad Copy

In your last lesson, you learned how to pick out keywords for your free advertising system. Now let's put them to use.

Before you freak out because you can't even spell, let me say that this part is a piece of cake. Mostly, it is a matter of learning to acquire a new skill and then putting it to work. Putting a marketing advertising system depends on one of two things: Either you will spend time or money putting it all together. I am going to assume that you are in the first category and we will work to get you the skill of putting your own ad copy together.

The first step lies in the construction of splash pages. To do this properly, you will need to use a web page editor. There are several out there, but I suggest you use one called NVu. It is easy to use, user friendly and has tutorials on how to build your pages. With a little practice, it will get easier for you to do these on your own as you can take a template of a page you like and modify it because NVu allows you to look at the WYSIWYG and source code so you can see what effect changes make as you build your pages.

Once you feel able, you will need to construct 2 splash pages and 2 blog postings using your new keywords. If you really want to speed things up, you can add two articles to the mix, but they are optional. Double check your work and look it over carefully. Be sure to save all these to special folder on your computer so you can refer to them later.

Be sure to limit using your keywords to no more than 3 mentions per 500 words. Any more and the search engines will penalize you for spamming. I usually use or mention the main keyword twice and once for my other keywords in a piece of ad copy that is approximately 500 words. Integrating the keywords into your work will become second nature to you with practice.

You can also use custom lead capture pages to get leads. When you run these, people usually fill out a form with information for you. There are places where you can get free lead capture pages that you can use in your ad campaigns. The advantage with these is you can direct your user to a landing page once they sign up. This can be a sign up page for your business or a page that gives them more information about your product or business.

If all this seems daunting it isn't. It is simply a matter of practice and becoming familiar with putting the puzzle pieces together. Once you assemble and get everything you need gathered together, it gets easier.

In the next lesson, we will look at using the search engines and traffic exchanges to get your ad system up and running.
