Lesson One: Finding Your Market
The process of building an affiliate down line involves a number of skills. Just like any other site, you will need to determine who is interested in what you are selling and their demographics. So the best thing to do is to set up an ad campaign to attract the best prospects for your business. Doing this will greatly increase your chances of success.
Before we can use marketing advertising, we must determine who we are advertising to. If you find a demand first, it is easier to fill it then the opposite. First, determine what niche you are going to specialize in and start writing down your ideas. You should get a number of ideas jotted down and then start the process of narrowing down what you want to work with.
The next step is writing down some key words and phrases associated with the one idea you will work with. This usually involves using some sort of keyword tool to work with. Google offers a great tool for this and you can get some keyword ideas and see how they play out in the market. Eventually you will want to use a resource for free marketing ideas and you will fare better when you use this process.
You should pick out 4 or 5 keywords to start with. The next thing you should do is go to Google adwords and search out what the market looks like for each of your keywords. The Google tool will suggest alternate keyword phrases and you should try to pick out the ones with the most demand and the least competition.
The idea behind this is to start the process of appealing to search engine spiders for traffic. You are building a content-rich ad campaign that will get you that badly needed traffic to your ads. A secondary benefit is you will start the branding process for your business by setting it apart from everyone else.
When you are finished picking your keywords out you have just completed step one! Remember the process you have gone through as you will need to teach it to your affiliate down line once you have gone through it.
