How To Diy - Learn How To Diy And Save Money On Your Next Home Renovation Project
In the same week, I was teaching myself how to replace a bathroom sink. That turned into a conversation with my wife that culminated in me basically renovating the whole bathroom. At first I thought I was in hell, because no matter what I did something always went wrong. That's when I discovered that the first lesson in learning how to DIY centers around reading the directions. I bought a few books, and in no time our bathroom was looking better than it ever had. I was proud of myself, and was turning into quite the plumber/repairman/husband of the year. A few months later, while I was still reveling in my bathroom success, one of my kids broke the kitchen faucet. I knew what was coming, so I went to the bookstore and picked up a few how to DIY kitchen books. Since I learned from the bathroom fiasco, I read them all cover to cover. I ended up replacing the kitchen sink, counter top and floor. I have to say, it looks like a professional did it, and I'm constantly getting complimented on it. All in all, if you want to know how to DIY, I suggest reading up on it. It's also important to go into the project knowing that what you save in money, you'll spend in frustration.
