First you need to figure out if you want your child to sleep on innersprings or foam. Next you will need to decide if you want your child to sleep on something organic of non-organic. The cost of organic is normally about twice as much so you will need to figure out if that is in your budget or not. Don’t bother getting your hopes up on a certain mattress if you don’t want to spend the money on it.

The final thing you should do is take your child to the store where they have a bunch of different mattresses on display and sit your child up on one. The best time to do this is close to their bedtime that way you will know if they like the mattress or not. If your child lays down on it then you know they like it, if they whine for you to pick them back up then it isn’t a good fit for them.
