How To Drive Traffic To Your Business And Website Using Article Marketing

One of the most important contributors to a successful business –be it online or offline- is its customers and clients. Without these people, there is no way a business will succeed as all the money required for business growth comes strictly from the volume of clients and customers who patronize and buy your products and services. To be able to get as many customers and clients as possible –after all, more clients and customers mean more money and profits for your business- you need to advertise. Now, advertising can be a killer for those who do not have the huge sums of money required for advertisement these days. I recently read in Business week about the Superbowl advert that cost $1 million for a slot of 30 minutes. Was the ad successful? Recent reports show that it wasn’t. The money was only “poured down the drain”; another example of a failed advertising campaign which amazingly seems to be pretty common these days in spite of all the technological advancements, demographical studies and access to the most sophisticated media.

Now, only Fortune 500 companies can afford that amount of loss. For most of us average people, a loss of $4000 in advertising costs would mean a lot. So, in what ways can an individual advertise with minimal expenses on his part online and offline? The answer is article marketing. How do you drive traffic, clients or customers to your website, business and services for free using article marketing? One of the most important things you need to know is that this method is still underutilized because not many people have the patience to write at least two articles a day. If you have enough experience in your field and industry, you can exploit this avenue to the maximum level possible.

Some people have recorded significant results using this method of advertisement in driving a lot of traffic to their websites. What are the things you need to know to be able to successfully use this method to your own benefit?

1.A thorough knowledge of your topic as it is easier to write on something that you are very experienced with rather than on unfamiliar topics.

2.You do not have to be able to write exceptionally well at the beginning. If that was a prerequisite to scoring well with article marketing, we would all be nowhere when compared to the excellent writers everywhere. We would have had to compete with bestselling authors.

3.Ensure that your articles contain a lot of information. This does not mean you should go writing at least 3000 word articles. No, this in itself is extremely tasking to the average writer not to mention discouraging. Instead break it into six or more parts of 450 words each. Then you can make them a series, an ecourse, it all depends on you.

4.Write in a way that will get people more interested in some other things you might have to offer. This includes your website address, work phone number et.c.

5.After all these, submit the articles you have written to at least 10 top ranking article directories and before you know it, you would have a steady flow of traffic to your website.
