Once your blog is setup, building backlinks is one of the first things you should look at implementing. You should look for sites with high search engine rank and link your new blog post to them. More on that in a moment. One thing you want to stay clear of is buying backlinks from companies on the internet. It may seem tempting but Google could consider this spam and punish your blog as a result. I will show you a simple way of how to find backlinks that will help your blog rise up the listing. How To Find Backlinks In 5 Easy Steps 1. Start with Facebook, Twitter and Youtube, These sites have such a high search engine rank that you have to link to them. In fact Facebook is the number 2 site in the world and Youtube is owned by Google. These are great places to post links back to your blog post. As soon as you publish the post head to Facebook and post a link back to that post in about 30 groups, also post a link in Twitter at the same time. You want to do this as quickly as you can so Google sees high PR sites linked to the post. 2. This is one of my favourite, post comments on other high ranking blogs; this will give you a link back to your post or blog. When you leave a comment most will need to be moderated so grab the URL and save it in note pad, come back 24 hours later and check it has been approved. Once approved ping the URL at Ping.in and this will alert the search engine of an update. 3. Article marketing is a great way to find backlinks to your posts. Look for high PR site such as Ezinearticles.com and post a spun article to those sites. A spun article is like the original but you have change a few words in each sentence. This is a long term link building strategy but it will get you a lot of traffic and Google will love your blog. 4. Head over to the many bookmarking sites such as Digg, Stumbleupon and Reddit and post a link back to your blog post. Also share other people’s blog links in these sites as they like that. These have high page rank so are a good source of traffic back to your blog. 5. And finally head over to some forum site that are in your particular niche and start adding value. This can be a time consuming task so spend all day there. Just setup your signature box and answer a few questions. As long as you are adding value to the forum you will get some traffic back. How to find backlinks is not that hard but it is all about being consistent and following a daily plan. Following a plan will get you the results you need. By doing this everyday you will start to see an improvement to the traffic flow into you site on a daily basis.
