How To Give Yourself A Pay Increase Without Asking Your Employer

Did you know that asking your boss for a raise is not the only way to get one? In fact, you may even find that if you ask your boss for a raise, they will only come back with some response to justify the wage they are already giving you. Advancement within the company may not be an option either. Bosses most of the time are simply more interested in their own advancement than they are yours. That's just being honest.

You need to take things into your own hands. I certainly do not advocate rebellion, but there are positive things you can do to advance your financial position. Depending on your boss is not always one of them.

A lot of times, in corporate America--if we were to be honest--the boss's reputation is measured by how he or she can save money for the company, not how much of a pay increase they could give you. And this is where the problem lies.

I used to think that if I were to give a good honest hard days work, my company would appreciate it and see that I am worth paying more for me than they do the average employee. Was I wrong! Granted, not all companies are run that way. But if yours is, you need to venture out and find ways to become profitable.

There are several ways you can do this:

1) Find ways to turn your hobby into a method for making money.

You certainly will not want to quit your day job, at least in the beginning, but the internet can provide some surprising ingenuity for making a hobby pay. Isn't that similar to what Bill Gates did?

2) Start your own business

You do not always have to have some breakthrough, innovative product that takes advanced expertise and a lot of money to manufacture. What you need to do is find out what people need and make a way to get it to them. It really is that simple.

3) Turn your personal financial habits into habits for making money. (And I think this is the quickest and most available way.)

And, NO, you do not have to begin trading your money on the market.

But the first step is you need to begin a new and innovative budget. Even some of the richest people in America began with this simple principle--better management of their money to create their wealth. In the same way, you can take the first step in increasing the money you have by managing your skills and money.
