In the first two decades of my life I had various issues which had a negative impact on my overall levels of confidence. These included a bald patch on my head, the fact that I am quite short for a male, the fact that I had a stutter and the fact that I was over-weight.
I so wanted to become some what happier and to be able to walk around with a smile on my face. Life seemed to be a constant struggle for me where as my friends and family seemingly cruised through life.
I used to constantly worry about what other people thought of me and was often paranoid that certain people were talking about me behind my back.
I was jealous of other people and their lives and thought that I was rather unlucky; I had been dealt such a poor hand of cards! I also would often feel rather sorry for myself as you can no doubt tell.
Things had to change and at the age of twenty-two I decided to take the bull by the horns, I was going to attempt to find solutions to my many problems.
After working very hard for around a year I successfully managed to overcome my stutter and was also able to attain a weight that I was happy with. I was less successful in my attempt to cure the baldness and to gain in height!
I have also learnt that it does not matter what other people think of me, it is what I think that counts and I actually think that I am a decent person.
I also now realize that I am, without doubt, one of the luckiest people in the world and I now do walk around with a smile on my face.
