How To Keep Those Summer Nights Cool

During the winter months we spend the holiday season dreading the cold and snow, but as soon as the summer time hits us and outside the sun is blazing down causing us to pour sweat like a reservoir we find ourselves wishing for the snow to come back. Unfortunately it will not be back for awhile so we are forced to deal with the heat. There are a few obvious things to do to keep ourselves cool for example opting for shorts or at least clothing that is not as heavy and as insulated as the clothing we wear in the winter months. And turning on the air conditioning to full blast can really give you something to smile about during these harsh summer months.

These may be great tips to follow during most of the day but, what about at night. It truly is such a horrible feeling to have to go to sleep in the heat and wake up several times during the night hot and sweaty. There are a few things that you can do to help protect yourself from the heat. If you are truly tired of the heat and you can afford it go ahead and let the air conditioning blast, there are a few problems with this like air conditioning always seem to leak all over the place, this can ruin paint and wallpaper to the point that pretty soon if not taking care of properly the damage this can cause can resemble damage from a flood which can be catastrophic, also pay attention to the words afford it, because running the air conditioning all day can put a serious dent in your pockets. A good technique that is catching on and is a favorite secret of mine is replacing your comforter for duvet cover sets. Duvet cover sets are usually used in conjunction with your regular bedding but, in the summer it is a good idea to use these things by themselves they feel like heavy sheets but, are not as heavy and breathe a whole lot more than a comforter. Doing this neat trick can give you the feeling of a cool and secure sleep all in one, so that is why I recommend duvet cover sets for those hot summer nights.
