How To Lose Baby Weight Fast & Safely

The way to lose baby weight is basically the same as any other fat gain with a few exceptions. Each woman has weight gain in different parts of her body, but most experience a weight gain in the abdominal area that is long present after the baby is past two year old. If you are not in that small minority that immediately loses all extra weight, take heart! Most people have some, if not a lot of fat gain left over.

How can you lose that baby weight? First and foremost, you need to exercise. (If you are able and/or willing to breastfeed, this is God's way of bringing the uterus back into shape naturally each time the baby suckles, your uterus contracts.) Along, with that natural exercise, abdominal exercises can lead to a flatter, pre-pregnancy figure, or at least more of a proportioned figure if you never had a flat tummy to begin with.

Secondly, try switching your diet to eating grains, vegetables and fruits. Low-fat, slow-burning carbohydrates such as oatmeal and whole-wheat breads are a wonderful way to begin the day. Have a piece of meat on a whole-wheat bun with low-fat dressing, and voila! You have a low-fat lunch. Add a side of fruit and you have a wonderful meal.

Supplement your meals with snacks of dried fruits such as those packaged as a mixture for variety. You will find that you are eating more and stressing less, because you will be eating what your body is actually hungry for!

Finally, some diets are popular and are not known to have any side effects. I would caution you not to take supplements if you are breast-feeding your child or until you have thoroughly checked out the possibility with your physician. There are some supplements that are extremely good, while others can harm you permanently. Read the warnings, use them sparingly and only when you need a boost to get you going.
