How To Make A Mildly Flavor Taco Salad For Any Occassion
I used this recipe for a museum fundraiser on season and let me tell you they had me printing off copies of the recipe to members as well as guest. It was great. It is also quite filling and can be used as a main course like for ladies luncheon.
Taco Salad
1 1/2 groud beef
2 diced tomatoes
1 can black olives
1 cam red kidney beans
1/2 diced sweet onion
2 -3 cups shaved or grated cheddar cheese or 3 blend mexican cheese
1 head ice berg lettuce
1 jar El Paso taco sauce
1 pkg o El Paso taco seasoning
1 8 0z jar of Thousand Island salad dressing
1 bag of tortiiilia chips about2-3 cups worth
Directions
Saute meet, drain, and mix dry seasoning except for 1 tablespoons
Chop, wash, drain and place lettuce in clear salad bowl
Layer cooled chop meat on top
then chopped onions. can of beans 1/2 the cheese, black olives, diced tomatoes, remaining cheese, and lastly the broken tortillia chips.
Sauce
Mix jar of thousand island, taco sauce, and tablespoon of dry taco seasoning.
when ready to serve pour sauce over salad and mix well.
Now just wait for the reactions you will get. It really is quite good.
