So you bought your swanky new PSP and are ready to rock the world. But before you do that you need to put music files in your PSP. It you don't know how to put music on psp, don't worry it's an extremely simple process and you can master it in minutes.
But first you need to know few things. Your PSP cannot play every music format available under the sun. It can play only MP3 and MP4 files (also
.ATRAC3plus, .ATRAC3, .WAV, .WMA files with new firmware). So if you are planning to listen to your favorite songs that are still on CDs, on your PSP; you need to convert them to MP3 format first. The conversion can be done with a good CD ripper and there are plenty of them available on the internet.
Now here's how to put music on psp -
* Connect the PSP to your computer via a USB cable. PSP will be added as a new USB device and you will see a new drive appearing in your My Computer section.
* Click on the new drive to check its contents. Ideally it should have few folders inside it. Look for a MUSIC folder under the main PSP folder. If you don't see any folders, don't panic; create the PSP folder first and then a MUSIC folder inside it. This is where your songs will be copied.
* Locate the music files to be opied on your computer and then select and copy them. Then select the MUSIC folder from PSP drive and paste the files.
* After copying all the files, remove the USB connection. That's all ! I told you it is simple.
Now you are ready to enjoy all your favorite music on PSP.
