How To Recover Hard Disk Data
I see. So now you want to recover all your precious data from your hard disk. Fine. I'll tell you how. Because I'm cool like that. To recover hard disk data will probably require a few different methods. Switching out bad parts for good ones is a good place to start. Like fixing a car. If your engine is broken, just get a new engine. This may fix the problem, but you may still have some damage to the operating system or file system. We'll talk about disk imaging in another article, so let's stick to hardware repair for now. You've got a few options, depending on what your specific problem is. Brace yourself for nerd-speak! Option one is to take out the damaged Printed Circuit Board and replace it with a matching PCB from an undamaged hard disk. Option two is to do something called a live PCB swap. This is just when the System Area of your hard disk drive is damaged. So what the computer does is it reads your PCB (the broken one) from the healthy drive. Then you disconnect the broken drive and transfer everything to the healthy one. Sound confusing? Just take it to your computer guy already! Another way to recover your hard disk data is to make a read/write head from scratch with brand new parts. Or you could just switch out the hard disk platters themselves and put them on a non-damaged drive. Chances are you - or your local computer guy - will be doing a combination of some or all of these procedures to recover your hard disk data. Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com |
