How To Setup Rss Feeds And Check If Your Blog Feed Is Working

RSS feed creation is easier than most people think. I use Feed Burner to create and manage all my feeds in one place. Feed Burner is probably the most popular service of 'em all so there is no real need to be looking elsewhere. Feed Burner is AdSense friendly, so if you are into making money with Google AdSense - it is right up your alley.

WordPress and Blogger blogs are generating their own RSS feeds, but I still recommend creating one with Feed Burner simply because the original ones never seem to work and aren't that visually attractive.

There are plenty of various RSS applications for you to choose from but the one I recommend most is RSS Bandit. It is a desktop application which is really light and easy to set up. You can configure the time intervals to check for updates and most important - you don't have to look for the feeds. You just insert the web address and the Bandit locates the feed on its own.

As a reporter I am obligated to provide unbiased opinion. But I won't. I have tried to use Google and Yahoo Readers. The deliver the content, but you have to manually check for updates and it is just plain annoying. I found RSS Bandit to be 10 times better simply because it is automatic and you don't have to keep track. The information is just there for your reference.
