Now that you've put your first niche market product together you need to make it readable to everyone that downloads it, it's no good to just assume that everyone and his dog will be able to read your 'Microsoft works' doc.
Selling your product will become a nightmare for you unless you standardise the format in which you deliver your niche product in.
These days most new computers come with a desktop standardised file reader known as a PDF reader, for most machines the version of PDF reader will be 'Adobe reader', which I'm sure you know is a faultless piece of software, and best of all its free.
So the problem you now have is going to be how to turn your new niche market report or e-book into a PDF, now I say problem which is probably the wrong word to use here, you see there isn't a problem associated with turning your file into a PDF In fact all it takes is the click of a mouse.
The problem which I referred to is the fact that although 'Adobe' offer free readers to everyone they charge a fee for their converter, now when I started out there were very few options open to me, at the time if you wanted to convert your file into a PDF you were going to have to buy the 'Adobe' converter software, which I think cost me around £70.00 (GBP).
Now for a newbie just about to launch their first niche product to the world that £70.00 could well be spent somewhere else, so here's some good news for today's start up's.
If you want to keep as much of your cash in your pocket until you start coining it in I suggest you get yourself a nice new FREE PDF converter..yes that's free, and in all honesty they are great pieces of software.
The only difference between the Adobe and the free version are perhaps lack of feature, however when your just starting out a simple converter will certainly suffice.
