How To Use Affirmations To Change Your Life
that you have to first let go of any negative thought patterns and let go of your worries and all expectations relating to the outcome of your affirmations. You need to “clear out” the negative in your life to make room for the positive in your life. A true desire for positive change in our lives starts with affirmations. The Law of Attraction states that we attract into our lives that which we focus our attention upon. Positive affirmations are an excellent tool to shape our lives, inside and out. When we focus our attention on positive thoughts we line up our blessings in front of us. Always speak positive affirmations in the present tense. Always begin an affirmation with the words “I AM” such as the following examples: I am focusing my mind on positive things and I see positive changes. I am a divine being filled with the love and light of Christ. I am a good parent and give my children the attention they need. This should give you a few ideas on forming your own personal affirmations. Affirmations should be said at least once a day, but more often if you can. They can be spoken aloud or in your mind, which ever way helps you to connect with the affirmative power. Although affirmations can be said anytime of the day or night, some find it useful to practice them in the morning hours after they wake up for the day. Sometimes a short walk is ideal for saying your affirmations as you do not have the distractions of every day life. It has been said that it takes 21 days to make or break a habit.
