How You Can Accomplish More Everyday
You really need short term and lasting goals. This means that you have to write a list of everything that you need to do from the sum of money you want to generate next year to the quick e-mail that you forgot to write this morning. Write down each thing that you want or need to get completed and then separate that list into the kinds of long term goals, short term goals and what you can do immediately. Do the things that you can do right this moment and then create a schedule of things to do over time. Every day, create a to-do list. You can either write it one evening for the following day or in the morning while starting to get to work. Write out each of the items you need to get done before you end work for the day. Following those on the list ought to be a task for any short term project and a task for a long-term project. Only allow yourself work with those last list items after you've finished all of the things that you need to do that day. If you finish all on your list--the "now" stuff along with the short and long term stuff, you can decide on whether to keep working on larger projects or if you'd like to reward yourself with some free time. Don't forget to allow yourself take breaks. It's easy to think that your productivity relies on your forcing yourself to remain at your desk for hours on end day after day and not ever getting up to do anything except use the bathroom. It has been proven, however, that people are more productive when they get started working. So allow yourself some time for a couple of breaks each day. Good breaks to consider are a morning coffee break, a noon-time meal break and an mid-day coffee break. Some individuals reward themselves with quick breaks as rewards for finishing items on their to-do lists. There are lots of ways that you may use to help yourself get more completed each day. The ideal approach to ensure that you get enough achieved each day is to know exactly what it is that you need to do. If you understand what must get done you will be more likely to stay on track and actually get it done!
