You must know them akin to you know yourself and to do that, you'll require a little research. Therefore, before you put your pen to paper, go sniff around for certain information you can utilize to your advantage.

Your headline shouldn't contain barely benefits, instead it should contain distinctive benefits. Benefits your readers can't acquire anywhere else.
Here's an illustration from my copywriting course.
The essence of the headline is "How to write sales letter that converts at 5%". To make it only available from me, I altered it to include my experience:
"How I wrote sales letters that converts at 5%"
Can you see what I am trying to put across? The second headline implies that the copywriting techniques I employed are only available from me.
But a unique headline itself is not enough. We are attacked by all types of advertisements at the moment, that they're very cynical of any assertion.
So to answer that problem, you must tie your assertion with evidence. In my illustration, I've already done that by informing people that I realized it - thus confirmed that my tactics is not just bull.
Now that you have got a proven unique benefit in your headline, it's time to take it to a higher level. To make my headline more engaging, I've comprise of what I call...
"Headline Boosters"
The idea that made it work exploits a weak spot in everyone of: self-doubt. When your prospect read a headline, they will surely doubt...
"Will the same thing happen to me?"
So here is how I enhanced my headline:
"How A Clueless Guy Wrote a Sales Letter That Converts At 5%"
When your prospect read that, they think, "If a clueless guy can accomplish it, I sure can. I am not clueless!"
Now, that headline is already reasonably powerful but I am not content yet. So I put in another headline booster,
" How A Clueless Joe Crafted A Sales Copy That Converts At 5%... Even Though He Did It Wrong"
with a sub-headline that reads,
"And Now You Get To Discover The Techniques He Exploits When He Is Doing It Right!"
FYI, that headline is getting responses at more or less 12%.
