When you put fruits or vegetables in a juicer and turn it on, the remains will stay in the upper part while the juice is flushed down to the lower part. Do you know how a juicer works? Usually juicers are available in three different types, Masticating juicer, Triturating juicer and Centrifugal juicer. Each has its own different working procedures.

The masticating juicer works with relatively low speed, and is capable of extracting juice from green leaves, wheat grass, fruits and vegetables. It breaks up the fruits and vegetables and pulverizes the fiber to produce a paste. Later on this paste is squeezed out and thus juices flow down through the strainer and reach the lower compartment. Juices made from this juicer contain much fiber, minerals and vitamins. And so consuming juices made from this juicer are considered much healthier. Apart from preparing juices, these are also perfect for preparing baby food and fruit ice creams.

Triturating juicer is the most expensive of all the three, as it gives you the best among all the fruits and vegetables. They come with twin metal gears to crush the fruits and vegetables. These metal gears are rotated and as such the fruits and vegetables inside get smashed well. Then the crushed items are squeezed and thus juice is produced. These juices pass through the space between the gears and the soft pulp goes to the upper part of the metal gears.

Centrifugal juicer is much economical and since years these are the choices of any family because of its affordability. This juicer grinds the fruits and vegetables and forces them to the strainer. Generally, these types of juicers come with a basket spinning fast to cut fruits and vegetables. Or when you have already chopped them, the centrifugal force constrains the juice to the lower part and the pulp remains in the basket.
