How To Build Your Optin List – Fast.

This article will describe a simple 12 step system, showing you how to quickly build your own email list. Many people who have followed this system have built a list of several hundred subscribers in just a few days.

Like everything else in life, if you want to achieve results, you have to put in some effort. Now I’ll be perfectly honest with you here, it’s likely that at least 95% of the readers who initially want to follow this system and want to give it a try, for one reason or another, will never even make a start.

If you’re serious about building your own email list, then this system is probably the simplest but more importantly, the quickest way by far to achieve it – but you’ve got to take action! I can give you the know-how here, but the rest is up to you.

The 12 Step System.

Before we go any further, let me tell you upfront, that the first three steps will involve a small financial outlay. This is because you’ll need a domain name (around $9), hosting account (around $6.50/month) and an autoresponder account (cheapest way is quarterly or annually).

So there we are – those are the first three steps.

Step 4. Get a Free Product to Promote at a Giveaway Site.

This step links to step 1 (getting a domain name). You’ll want to get a domain name closely matching the free product, or maybe the niche area that you’re in. Let’s say that your free product (and future free products) are in the exercise niche. Your domain name should be something related, like healthandfitness.com or health-fitness.com (which I can tell you without even checking, have already been taken). Anyway, I hope you get the idea.

Step 5. Set up a ‘Squeeze Page’ to promote your free product.

If you’ve never done this before, don’t panic - this is much, much easier than it sounds.

I use free software called Kompozer. It’s a What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) html editor. Another good free one is Pagebreeze. Using these WYSIWYG editors makes it relatively easy to create your own squeeze page.

You’ll also put your ‘Optin’ form on your squeeze page, which you create in your autoresponder. The autoresponder I use is Aweber and when you’ve done this a few times, it takes about 10 minutes or less to do – so it must be fairly simple – right? At the moment, the only thing you’re frightened of is the unknown, because when you’ve learnt how to do this, you’ll laugh at how easy it is.

Step 6. Upload your squeeze page and download page to the web.

Once your squeeze page is complete you then have to ‘put it on the web’, or rather, send the appropriate files to your ‘host’ so that they can display it on the web. We do this by the use of File Transfer Protocol (FTP) software. One of the best is Filezilla, which is free and easy to use.

The final 6 steps are even easier than the first 6 and simply involve sending messages using your autoresponder, checking that your squeeze page works properly and doing some further promotional activities.
