How To Change Your Life With Easy Positive Thinking Strategies

People, it is said, do not like change! Yet most people have something that they wished could be different in their lives, and the only way to get something different, is to make the appropriate changes.


As a life and business coach I regularly meet people struggling to overcome the first hurdle. In fact it could be argued that the "first hurdle" is often, completely ignored by so many people facing routine everyday problems or business challenges, it is of course the mindset! Unfortunately, many of us were never educated about the fantastic capacity of the human brain, and if we were there was not much indication of how to really improve our thinking!

The world is now waking up to the opportunities that are available when you start creating positive states which are the results of positive thinking. In fact many people in the medical profession are beginning to use new "body mind" techniques to cure severe illness and disease. So if the mind is capable of healing the body in these extraordinary ways, it must surely be capable of helping us to enjoy a progressive, happy and fulfilling life. And it is!

Whatever is programmed in your unconscious mind will lead you to the results you're achieving right now. The conscious mind is the one that is constantly talking to you allowing you to think all day long. But it cannot handle more than a small number of ideas at any time. This means your unconscious mind is the real controller; it stores vast amounts of information and creates "programmes" like a computer that run automatically for you every day. The great advantage is that you don't need to think about so many of your natural actions and behaviours; they are occurring every second of the day, i.e. general body functions like breathing and your heartbeat, and simple processes like tying your shoelaces and driving to work, these processes are better known to us as "habits".

To make the required changes means that you have to re programme your unconscious mind.

Whenever you have a thought (positive or negative) it will always have a meaning immediately attached to it, this meaning will then create an emotion, your emotion leads to an action which gives you the result of whatever it is you have done.

Positive thinking alone, as you can see, will not provide the complete solution, but you can learn very quickly how all this fits together and when you do, it just takes one more thing to start seeing positive results - practice. Because, "what you practise you become" and as soon as you understand the meanings of your thoughts and how they transfer into your emotions, you will accept responsibility for your behaviours and actions which will produce positive results. I told you it was easy!

I am often told by people that they just want the answers, forget all that nonsense, just give me the answers, but the thing is, without all that nonsense the answers are irrelevant, because if you want to make the changes, you have to break the pattern of those old unconscious habits first. And if you don't, you will just return to doing the same as you did before.

And what's the point of that?
