How To Create Your First Money Making Blog
First of all, what is a blog? Blog is the shortened internet term for Web Log. Basically, it is a journal that one can publish online. Why do people blog? The internet is an interesting phenomenon. It allows someone to enter the public forum, while maintaining a sense of privacy. This holds an attraction for many people who want to write about their lives, frustrations, interests and hobbies. It gives people a voice in the public realm. A simple search will turn up numerous blogs on all kinds of subjects. So, how does one start a blog? There are several popular free blogging platforms. The two most popular are Blogspot.com and Wordpress.com. For the purposes of this article, I will describe the process on Blogspot, but the principles are the same on most other platforms. Blogspot, is run by Google. If you have a gmail account, you can simple use your gmail account to sign onto Blogspot.com. Otherwise, you can create a new account. Once you sign onto Blogspot, you can update a profile about yourself if you chose. Then, simply click on the link that says "create a blog." This will take you to a page where you give your blog a name and web address. After you do that, just continue on. Your page can now be reached by the public by going to your web address you put in earlier. It's as simple as that! Of your you'll need to start adding content. You can do that by hitting the "new post" link at the upper right. Also, you can play around with the design of your blog by following the "design" link. Have fun! Now go start your blog!
