How To Do Hypnosis - A Quick Guide To Hypnotizing Yourself And Others
You've almost certainly hypnotized yourself before - when you've had a day dream for instance - but there comes a time when you want to find out how to do hypnosis on yourself and others at a more conscious level. We'll begin here with how you can carry out self hypnosis so that you can "work" on yourself, getting rid of some of the worries and fears that are cluttering up your life or banishing bad habits to the past where they belong.
Begin by finding yourself a comfortable place where you won't be disturbed by others. That includes switching your cell phone to silent.
Sit or lie down and start to relax. Take a few deep breaths in and allow your eyes to close just as soon as they're ready.
Continue to focus on your breathing. Some people find it helpful to visualize all their stress being exhaled out every time they breath out.
Then just gently relax your whole body. Work your way down from your head to your toes or reverse the direction and work up from your feet to your scalp. Whichever you prefer. This will take you into a deeply relaxed state as every molecule in your body is gradually relaxed.
If you need to go deeper into hypnosis, see yourself drifting down a set of stairs and count them down from ten to one, reminding yourself to go deeper into a hypnotic trance with each step.
Once you're in this deeply relaxed state, bring up one of the issues that's been troubling you. Rephrase the problem and see yourself in a new place, one where you've overcome your problem. Talk to yourself (it's OK to do this, you're hypnotized!) and rephrase the problem so that it's in the past and you're now enjoying a life free from whatever issue it was. Keep your phrases positive as this will help your subconscious mind to act on them with ease.
Then bring yourself back out of your hypnotic trance, telling yourself to feel wide awake and refreshed.
Congratulations! You've taken your first steps on how to do hypnosis on yourself.
