1. How long has this treatment been around? If it's brand new, chances are not too many people have tried it, and its success rate could be questionable.

3. Is it worth the cost? Sometimes the more expensive the product, the better it will work, but this isn't a guarantee. Do some online research, read the product reviews, and see if other customers think it's all it's cracked up to be.
4. Does it contain a well-known acne killing ingredient? Some of the best acne killers are benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, and sulfur. If the acne cream contains one of these, then there is fair chance it will work for your skin.
5. Does the acne cream have a good reputation? If the cream you're looking at has been known to cause skin discoloration, defects, scarring, or other side effects, think twice about taking it. There's plenty of cream in the world to choose from; don't take the risk of damaging your skin forever.
