How To Forgive: The Law Of Forgiveness

Forgiveness... we all know what it means. It means you tell someone you are sorry for something that you said or that had happened between you two. But how can you forgive them when they cheated on you, or lied to you, or didn't do what you wanted them too? It is, of course, they're fault in the first place. So how can you forgive them if they don't change so that you're happy, right? Well... wait, why is it their fault again? What were they doing besides living their own life? Yes, they may of said things or made decisions that you got upset and angry at - but is that their fault that you got upset? You were the one who got upset simply because they were living their own life, different from how you wanted or expected them to live their life. So then, why is it their fault? So am I saying it's your fault for feeling upset? No. So whose fault is it then, huh? Well... I don't know... but does it matter? Yes? It matters whose fault it is so say your sorry and forgive someone? So, are we talking about forgiveness or about our ego proving that we were right all along and we can say I told you so? Hmmm...

So then, maybe, just maybe forgiveness isn't that hard after all. Because if we take away trying to figure out whose fault it is, if we realize that they were living their own life to begin with and we were living our own life, each of us being different and unique individuals with our own thoughts, feelings, actions, and personal views on how to live and act in our lives... then all we really need to do is - forgive.

So, how do we forgive exactly? Because if your angry or upset at someone, obviously forgiveness isn't something you're teaching to others. Maybe a step-by-step guide on what to do to forgive someone and say you're sorry would help? Or just a little better idea of forgiveness all together so you can understand it intellectually. Well, here, I've outlined both of those for you in an easy to read, straight to the point, forgiveness document. You can download it to your computer, print it out, or just read it right now online. When you're done reading, feel free to come back and comment on forgiveness!
