Bodybuilders seem to have this down because they have to use science to get results on a schedule. They say "abs are made in the kitchen" and it is true. People are doing a ton of situps everyday at the gym and it will never get you results. You don't lose fat because you do situps, you lose fat because you go on a great diet. I eat smaller meals every few hours because this is a way of speeding up your metabolism. A high metabolism means you'll burn more calories and in turn, more fat. As for working out, your abs are just like any other muscle. Don't over work them. I don't ever directly work out my abs and they're powerful.
