How To Get Out Of The Aiport And Into Your Punta Cana Vacation

A follow-up to surviving the ins-and-outs of airport travel—You've grabbed your luggage and everything that was equipped to your person when you departed for the Dominican is still intact.

Now for another hurdle—transporting everything to the hotel. There are four popular routes to go about it. The first, unless you traveled light and by yourself, is as inefficient as it is deathly.

Motoconchos, the motorcycles that will honk at you on a whim, could be the most versatile means of getting from point A to point B, but the potential for injury or theft makes it a resource you should only consider with high guard.

Gua-guas, or mini busses, aren't much better; save that you're on four wheels instead of two and no one will try to cop your stuff because everyone is practically sitting on top of one another. Although they require a seriously high level of tolerance, they area cheap mode of transportation.

Publicos are similar to taxis except, again, they are shared with other people that you may or may not already know. They are a staple for the Dominican, however, as they offer on of the most cheap and reliable commutes to and from work.

For tourists, the final and surest transport is Dominican Airport Transfers. They're seasoned, reliable, and priced fairly. They cover short to long distances and will usher you from airport to that Dominican Republic luxury resort without skipping a beat.
